MAC's High Tea Lipstick: A Gorgeous Sheer Nude
I was at The Grove (mall) the other day in L.A. and I stopped by the MAC store to pick a few things up... I bought a few things but the one thing I'm most interested in is High Tea lipstick. It's a really nice color- a medium pink-ish nude. What I like most about this color is how SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER it is. When I put this super creamy lipstick on, it literally just gives the slightest amount of color, and a lot of shine. It's kind of like a lipgloss in lipstick form. It's a very moisturizing formula- it feels smooth and slippery on the lips. I like that I can wear this whenever I don't want to look too made up. It's a great daytime nude lipstick. I also like wearing this lipstick layered on top of or underneath another much more pigmented lipstick to help sheer it out a bit. If you're looking for a very sheer yet VERY PRETTY medium pink nude lipstick, DEFINITELY pick up High Tea today!!!! It won't wash you out, it won't make you look dead or sickly, and it won't dry your lips out. It has very neutral tones, so you can wear it whether you have warm or cool undertones. I feel like this is a lipstick that EVERY nude lip lover should have in their collection!!! Is anyone else loving this lipstick right now too!?!? Let me know ;]

NARS Turkish Delight Lip Gloss
Turkish Delight is undoubtedly NARS' most popular lipgloss. It's a gorgeous "pink sorbet" color and it's pretty sheer. I would say that it's a light creamy baby pink and I think it's pretty flattering on all skintones. Personally, I like to wear this over nude lipsticks, but it looks good paired with anything, and it even looks good on it's own. Lots of celebrities are known to wear Turkish Delight- Kim Kardashian wears this stuff religiously. I love Turkish Delight, but I don't think it's really all that amazing and unique though. It's not that hard to find a flattering sheer baby pink lipgloss, in my opinion. But I love all NARS products and this does look particularly great when you have a smokey eye and lots of bronzer on (my fave look) so I totally recommend everyone at least try this stuff out :] It's a bit pricey at $25 but you get what you pay for. NARS lipglosses are not sticky at all, and really have no scent/flavor. Turkish Delight is really easy to wear and really gives that extra oomph to your face when you really need it. If you want some sexpot lips a la Kim Kardashian, try this stuff on next time you're at Sephora or Nordstrom<3333

Chanel Glossimer in Sunset Gold
I was at the Chanel counter checking out their latest collection and swatching lipglosses when I came across this beautiful Glossimer. Sunset Gold appears to be a gorgeous glittery golden light-bronzey apricot color. I swatched it, and thought it was gorgeous. I'm not one for bronze on the lips, but this wasn't dark and muddy at all and I thought it would add the perfect color/dimension to deepen/warm up some of my favorite pale nude lipsticks like MAC's Myth and Creme d'Nude. It was very pricey at $30 but I don't mind paying that much for a high end gloss if the color is gorgeous and the formula is silky and not sticky. For some reason makeup always looks better in the store than it does once you take it out into the real world hahahaha... and Chanel's packaging is soooooo pretty that I sometimes can't say no to certain items, lol...
Although I was initially impressed with this color, it shows up clear on my super-pigmented lips. It just gave a little bit of shine and not even all that much shimmer or glitter. It didn't do much over lipsticks either. So this color is not really one of my favorites right now. I was hoping for more than Sunset Gold was will to offer. Chanel Glossimers seem to be pretty hit or miss for me. I tend to find more of them that I love that dislike though. I guess I'll just use this stuff on top of a medium nude lipstick in the place of a clear gloss. I like that it's not sticky but I was really hoping for more pigmentation and a prettier effect. I have more than enough clear/sheer glosses. But, the packaging is super luxe, and you can never have too many lipglosses, sheer or not, so I'll keep Sunset Gold around just because it's pretty and looks good with all the rest of my Glossimers :] Anyone else have Sunset Gold or a similar color? What's your favorite Chanel Glossimer?
