DSquared's "Nappa" Spine-Heeled Ankle Boots

I first saw these ankle boots when one of my favorite fashion bloggers "Bryanboy" posted a picture on them on Twitter last year... I really like them. They're obviously not practical for everyday wear, because they're quite pricey and I'm sure they wouldn't be the most comfortable shoes to walk in. I love them, though, because they're so unique and you can tell that the twins were very inspired when they created these outrageous heels. The heels on these babies are 6.5 inches, but there's actually a 2.5 inch hidden platform in them, so it'd be like wearing a pair of 4 inch heels, which isn't completely unbearable. I love how they're just a little macabre, yet they're still pretty and super-glam. And there's nothing else out there like them. What do you think about them??? :]

The Ugliest Shoes I've Seen In A While...

Usually, if I see someone wearing some ugly shoes, I won't think another thought about it... I know that people can wear whatever the hell they want... It's a free country and of course not everyone is gonna like something that you particularly like. I've made a few questionable fashion choices in the past... I like risk-takers when it comes to fashion... I get so bored seeing the same thing over and over again so it's nice to see some really edgy studded pumps or some skin-tight liquid latex leggings in the daytime... There are hits and misses, but all that matters is that you have fun and you look good... You can learn from your mistakes a long the way too... BUT THEN I CAME ACROSS THESE HIDEOUSLY DISGUSTING ATROCITIES!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahahaha I'm not gonna say too much- the pictures obviously speak for themselves. They're Air Jordan Heels by NIKE. And they are NOT CUTE. Hahahahahaha tell me what you think about them!!!!!!

Ginger Rush Intensely Hydrating Cream by Origins

The "Ginger Rush" Intensely Hydrating Cream is an absolutely AMAZING product that I just recently started loving... Pretty much, it's a gigantic jar full of really thick, really rich body cream that smells absolutely HEAVENLYYYYYYYYY. I went through a MAJOR Origins phase like 2 years ago. One of my really good friends at the time worked there, so of course I would try all of the products out whenever I'd stop by and visit him. I'm a really big fan of their products, and anything that smells like their famous "Ginger Essence" is pretty much amazing. Ginger Rush is probably one of the most amazing moisturizers I've ever used. I love it because it's super moisturizing, but it's not greasy at all. I LOVE THAT!!!! I use body moisturizers more often during the Winter, but I absolutely can't stand when I put some on and it leaves my skin all greasy and slippery. This stuff will make you feel smooth and moisturized and smelling warm and citrus-y!!! The scent is very uplifting and kind of energizing, but it's subtle enough to be worn often. It's a bit pricey at around $40 for like 7 ounces, but the jar lasts a very long time, and the quality of this stuff is just so outstanding that you can't help but overlook the price. Next time your at Origins, slather some on and rub it in. You'll LOVE how it feels :]

Eyebrow Threading!!!!

Eyebrow threading is an ancient method of hair removal which originated in parts of India, the Middle and Far East, and is now gaining popularity in Western countries. I was first introduced to this method of hair removal a long time ago in Little India up in Los Angeles. I totally prefer threading to waxing and tweezing for soooooo many reasons. First of all, it's safe for my skin. Whenever I've gotten my eyebrows waxed in the past, my eyebrow area has always ended up red and irritated afterward. I always make sure that the cosmetologist doesn't have the temperature of the wax too high, so I think I may be allergic to wax. I also hate eyebrow waxing because it's super messy, and I feel like it usually takes off WAYYYY too many of my eyebrow hairs. I like my eyebrows to be clean and tidy, not thin and overly-done. I prefer stronger, more masculine brows. Threading is also a lot more sanitary. I don't know who's been using the wax/wax warmer, I don't know if they double-dipped, if the wax warmer is clean, etc. You also can't really tell if their tweezers have been cleaned... I'm super picky about anything that touches my face, especially around my eye area. I like plucking my eyebrows on my own, but that can be tedious at times. That's why I've really been into threading lately :] It's super easy, safe, and clean, and allows for easy control of what hairs are removed. If you've never heard of eyebrow threading or are curious to see how it works, check it out on YouTube!!! There are lots of videos showing you how it's done, and even how to do it on yourself!! Do any of you prefer eyebrow threading over waxing and plucking as well? Tell me about it :]

My Three Main Pieces of Advice Towards Having Better Skin!!!!

Hey everyone!! Okay, this is a topic I've been thinking about a lot lately and I'm finally sitting down to actually talk about it now. I know these are VERY basic pieces of information, but you'd actually be surprised to know how many people don't already know these things. I'm not copying and pasting information off of the internet, I'm not looking this stuff up on skincare websites, and I'm not repeating information I heard from a YouTube beauty person- These are all just things that I've heard and ended up doing, and fortunately they ended up working for me. I don't claim that doing these things will produce miracles skin-wise, but they'll help if you continue to do them for a long time.

First off, drink lots of water!! I just did a post on here about why drinking lots of water is good for your body, but it also helps keep your skin looking amazing also. Drinking about 8 glasses of water a day will keep your body balanced. It flushes your body of some unnecessary toxins, it keeps you hydrated, and it plumps up your skin's cells, which makes your skin look a lot better. Haven't you noticed that your skin doesn't look good when you don't drink that much water????

My second piece of advice is to make sure to never sleep with makeup on your face. It's a horrible habit to hit the pillow without removing your makeup!!! Your pores need time to breathe, especially when your asleep, because that's when your skin cells re-generate themselves. Think about it- If you wear makeup all day, then all night, then sleep with it on, your skin never really has time to relax and breathe and just be healthy overall. I know whenever I pass out with makeup on, I wake up with gross, nasty oily skin that just feels clogged and unhealthy. And I have raccoon eyes and everything's smudged and runny hahahahaha... Thankfully, I don't tend to break out anymore, but if I do, it will usually be because I didn't wash my face before I went to sleep. It's just so refreshing to go to sleep feeling clean and refreshed lol...

My last piece of advice for you all is to WEAR SUNSCREEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!! OMG I can't believe HOW MANY people I PERSONALLY KNOW that don't wear sunscreen!!!!!! It's so easy just to rub a little bit of it into your face and arms... It's not some big elaborate process that takes hours to do. I recommend you carry a little bit of sunscreen with you no matter where you go. I like to use makeup and skincare products that also contain SPF (Sun Protection Factor) because when it comes to protecting yourself from the sun, every little bit helps. Exposure to sun (UVA and UVB) rays is the leading cause in premature aging/wrinkles. If you don't like the smell of sunblock, find one that's unscented. If it makes you feel too greasy, find a matte formula sunblock. There are SOOOOOO many ways to put SPF on your skin that you have NO REASON not too. You may not think that it helps, but it really does. Apply it whether you're gonna be in the sun for 2 minutes, or 2 hours. There's no such thing as being TOO CAREFUL.

Okay, I'm done talking about these things. I've noticed that most of you people out in LUUUX-LAND don't really like reading really really long posts. I thought three things would be enough for now, but look at for more. Thanks for reading, commenting, and following if you have!!! Leave a comment telling me about some of your favorite habits for having healthy skin!!! :]

Late-Night Online Shopping & Makeup Porn From NARS!!!

Hey everybody!!! I've been doing some more unnecessary makeup shopping tonight since I got home... I've already put in a few orders hahahaha... I've been looking at swatches and pictures of NARS products because I need more eyeshadows and blushes from them... and I ran across the picture above!!! Lol it got me all excited hahahahaha I just LOVE seeing lots and lots of makeup sprawled out all over a table... I totally see some of my favorite shadows from NARS' Night Collection lined up along the bottom left-hand side of the screen :] I've got lots of NARS' darker, rich, jewel-toned colors, but now I'm trying to pick out some pretty, lighter, more "wearable" neutrals for Spring and Summer. Tell me some of your fave neutrals from NARS<33333

LaToya Jackson: Then and Now

I was watching tv today and I saw LaToya Jackson make like a 10 second appearance... I think she was arguing with someone or something... She was on some show... It might've been Celebrity Apprentice or something... I can't believe how... unnatural she looked. Yeah I know, lots of celebrities get plastic surgery to change their appearances just a bit,and of course the Jackson family has been known to have had it's share of it, but she looked as though she'd had a LOTTTTTTT of work done. I found old pictures of her, and I think she was super pretty. I wonder why she decided to have all of those surgeries done... I'm by no means against plastic surgery- if you have the money and the guts to go under the knife, by all means do it. But of course, the results should be natural, and at the very least, flattering. I could see maybe one or two things, but she looks like a whole new person. She's still really pretty, in my opinion, except for that super pointy nose lol... So, take a look at the before and after pictures and tell me what you think about LaToya Jackson's gradual transformation :]

One Of My Biggest Beauty Pet Peeves: UNBLENDED MAKEUP!!!

Lately, I've been talking A LOT about things that I love. I thought that just for a moment, I thought I'd talk about something beauty-related that I absolutely HATE. And that is UNBLENDED MAKEUP!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE IT!!!!!!! I don't like harsh lines at all in makeup- I just think it's SO EASY to take a face brush or an eyeshadow blending brush or a cosmetic sponge or EVEN just a clean finger and BLEND your makeup... It'll help make your makeup look a lot more natural and just overall pleasing to the eye. It removes obvious lines of demarkation and just smoothes everything out. Blending even makes your makeup stay on longer!!! I was just browsing the internet and found a picture that I thought would be appropriate to show you all what I'm talking about lol... Take a look at that face. Wouldn't she be SOOOOO much prettier if her makeup was just blended better???? Lol... Tell me what you think... and let me know what some of YOUR beauty-related pet peeves are!!!!

DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!!

Today I just thought I'd bring up something that's been on my mind a lot lately. It's actually one of my favorite drinks: WATER. It's super refreshing year round, but more importantly, it's something that your body actually needs in order to survive. H20 has COUNTLESS health benefits, including the following:
Transpsorts nutrients and oxygen into cells
Moisturizes the air in lungs
Helps with metabolism
Protects our vital organ
Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
Regulates body temperature
Detoxifies
Protects and moisturizes our joints
Keeps our skin hydrated and refreshed
ET CETERAAAAAAAAAAA
I've been told many times that the average adult should consume AT LEAST 8 8oz glasses of water a day. I usually drink it chilled, but not ice cold, with a little bit of lemon. Do YOU drink as much water as you should??? :]

NARS Casino: A Beautiful, Healthy Tan in a Compact!!

NARS Casino is probably my favorite bronzing powder!! It's darker than Laguna, so I tend to use it a lot more. I love how NARS bronzers tend to be truly brown-based... they won't leave you looking weird or muddy or worst of all, ORANGE hahahahahaha... Casino is my go to bronzer right now as well- It's gorgeous for applying to the parts of my face that need extra shadowing. It has a subtle golden bronze sparkle, but that doesn't really show up on the skin, so it looks completely natural (if used correctly). Casino really is like having a healthy tan in a compact!! What do you think? :]

NARS Laguna: An Amazing Bronzing Powder

NARS Laguna Bronzer has been a staple in my makeup collection for years!! I love using this bronzing powder as an all over bronzer just to warm up the places on my face that the sun would naturall hit. It also makes a great contouring powder when I'm paler or don't want to look toooooooo dramatic and overly contoured. Sometimes I'll even use this as an eyeshadow just all over this lids :] It's a gorgeous medium bronzey brown- it's not too light or too dark, not too orange or too yellow. There's subtle shimmer in it that shows up in the pan, but I really don't see it on my face once it's on, so it's super-natural looking :] Do you use Laguna?? Let me know what you think about it!!

Dreamer by Versace: What Dreams Are Made Of...

Now's the time where I introduce what I think just may be my absolute favorite scent of all time!!! It's Dreamer by Versace. I've been through very many bottles of this stuff, and will always have one in my collection. It's SUCH a sexy scent. Seriously, it's sexual attraction in a bottle!!! It's pretty light for a men's fragrance, with notes of juniper, artemisia, tarragon, mugwort, linen seed flowers, tobacco, amber, lily, and iris. Of course, it can be used as a uni-sex fragrance- It makes a really nice "boyfriend" fragrance. It's kind of sweet, and it's surprisingly warm and refreshing at the same time. I just LOVE to spray Dreamer all over everything that can hold fragrance- all over blankets, pillows, all over clothes, up into the air, on people I love, etc!! Hahahahaha yes, it smells that good. It reminds me a lot of nighttime- it's sensual and seductive and of course, very unique. Whenever I put this stuff on, I think to myself "This is what every man should smell like..." Lol. It was the last fragrance Gianni Versace made before he was murdered in 1996. Wow, I've been wearing this for a long time! Hahahaha. I'm even obsessed with the bottle. It's very elegant and chic, with Versace's ever-present Medusa head on the front of it. The lid doesn't actually come off the bottle- you just press down on it to spray the cologne. I love this fragrance DEARLY- It will forever hold a very dear place in my heart. I can't say enough how much I love this stuff hahahaha... but I WIL SAY: If I had to use JUST ONE fragrance for the rest of my life, without a doubt, Dreamer would be it :] You really just have to smell intriguing scent for yourself<33333

I Just ADORE J'Adore By Dior!!!

J'Adore is a very elegant, sensual fragrance. I remember why I bought this stuff... It was a very long time ago, I was just a kid. And I saw the commercial for this stuff... The model in it was so gorgeous, and she was bathing in like... liquid gold. And she was covered in gold paint and wearing a gold dress with lots of gold jewelry. Hahahaha I loved it!!! When I saw this stuff in the actual store, I bought it just because I loved the commerical so much!! I loved it- Of course it smelled absolutely amazing, being Dior. It has notes of Mandarin, Champaca Flowers, Ivy, African Orchid, Rose, Violet, Damascus Plum, Amaranth Wood, Blackberry Musk.
It's sexy, very floral, and kinda fruity. I miss this stuff, I haven't had a bottle in a while. I use my mom's sometimes, but I guess it's to pick up another bottle for my collection!!! So any of you out there absolutely adore J'Adore!??!?  <333333

Drink Green Tea!!! It's Good For You!!!

Okay, so we've all heard a lot about how Green Tea is beneficial for us, but we haven't really payed too much attention to it, am I right? Hahahaha I drink it sometimes, like when I'm at Chinese restaurants, or when I'm really cold. And I really like Asian iced green tea drinks. Did you know that green tea has been used as a medicine in China for at least 4,000 years? There have been scientific studies that have proven that green tea reduces the risk of certain types of cancer, heart disease, impaired immunity, and high cholesterol levels. Green tea also contains lots of healthy anti-oxidents which are very good for skin health!! So, next time you're at a Chinese restaurant or are craving some hot tea, choose Green Tea!!

Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel

Coco Mademoiselle is an absolutely luxurious and elegrant fragrance that was release by Chanel back in 2001. My aunt bought me a bottle of this stuff as a present a few years ago, and I really like it :] There's a lot going on with this beautiful perfume, with notes of sicilian oranges, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian grapefruit. It's floral heart is created with pure rose extract and pure jasmine extract, along with a fruity touch of litchi, while its base notes carry a combination of Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla ad white musk. Yeah, there are MANY layers in Coco Mademoiselle. I don't wear it often- I spritz it on sometimes when I need to feel a little more sophisticated hahahaha... Like when I'm going out to dinner or something. Chanel really does make a lot of gorgeous scents that come in the most beautiful bottles!!! So, are you a fan of Coco Mademoiselle!?!? Tell me if you are<3333333

Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana

Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana is a fragrance that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Years ago, probably in like 2006 or 2007, me and my friend were at a store just buying random makeup and skincare products, and I saw Light Blue sitting on the shelf. I tried it on and it smelled good, but it strike me as something SO amazing that I had to buy it then and there. My friend, however, thought it smelled amazing, and bought a big ole bottle of it as a random present for me :] I wore Light Blue HEAVILY that whole Summer, but then I wore it just randomly after Summer was over, because it's not really a Fall-Winter kinda perfume. So now, whenever I wear this stuff, I instantly think about that Summer. Lol funny how a scent can conjure up so many memories. It's a gorgeous scent, with notes of Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk. I just love how fresh and clean this stuff smells. It's not overwhelming at all, and it's actually kind of up-lifting if you know what I mean. I love this stuff :] Do you? Do you ever associate memories with fragrances?

Betsey Johnson Perfume

I remember when I bought Betsey Johnson's premiere fragrance- I was at the Loehmann's not too far from my house, and I just saw the bright and eye-catching box sitting on a table amongst a bunch of other fragrances. I'd seen it before at Nordstrom, but I never paid it very much attention. I loved the bottle, it was so cute- kind of a neo-art-deco perfume flacon with a large hot pink peacockish type of top. Not knowing how it smelled, I bought it. I just knew it would smell absolutely amazing though, because I love anything Betsey comes up with :] I sprayed it right after I bought it and instantly fell in love!! It's a juicy floriental fragrance with notes of  pear, tangerine, grapefruit and blackcurrant and feminine notes like vanilla, amber and musk. Whenever I wear it, people ask me what it is. Whenever friends see it sitting in my perfume collection, they immediately grab for it because the bottle is so amazing. I'm so glad I blindly purchased this perfume<33333 I DEFINITELY need to buy another bottle of it :] Don't you just LOVE Betsey Johnson's perfume? Tell me about it!!

Chance by Chanel

Chanel by Chanel has been one of my off again on again favorite perfumes for years- I'm surprised at how long this stuff has been around!!! Lol time flies when you're smellin good :] Okay seriously, I love how sophisticated and refined this fragrance is. A lot of people called it feminine and flirty... I guess it is, but I just love how this stuff makes you feel when you're wearing it. It's such a rich and refreshing perfume, but it's not in any way overwhelming. It's a fruity floral- It's notes are white musk, hyacinth and citron, pink pepper, jasmine, fresh vetiver, orris absolute and amber patchouli. Chance is very elegant, and you're guaranteed to get lots of complements when you wear it :] Does anyone else love Chance?? <333

What I'm Loving Right Now: PADTHAI!!!

I've always loved multi-cultural/ethnic foods, ever since I was a baby, thanks to my parents that are really open-minded and love trying new things :] Thai food has always been one of my favorite kinds- It's all SO good and lots of it is really spicy and flavorful. Probably the most widely known/popular Thai foods is Padthai. It's stir-fried rice noodles with different types of meats and vegatables, in a sweet and tangy kinda sauce. I usually get chicken or tofu Padthai with beansprouts, chili oil, green onions and peanuts. I've always loved this stuff but just recently I've been craving it seriously like ALL THE TIME hahahaha... It's SOOOO GOOOOD<3333333 Are any of YOU ALL obsessed with Padthai right now too!?!? I'm sure some of you are!!! :]

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Oil Free Face Wash

I was at Wal-Mart a few weeks ago and I saw this stuff when I was walking down the skincare aisle. I'd seen all of the commercials on tv, and I'd read a few pretty good reviews on this stuff. Another thing I'd heard is that this whole line smells amazing... It smells okay, but I've smelled much better citrus scents before. Unfortunately, there's not much to say about this stuff. It foams up pretty nicely and cleans my skin. It has tiny round beads that gently exfoliate. It's not too strong of a cleanser but I could imagine this drying out someone's face if they have really dry or delicate or mature skin. Pretty much, there are obviously much better things out there. But, if you're at Wal-Mart or Target or CVS and you need a facial cleanser, pick it up. It's only like 7 or 8 bucks- try it out, and see how it works for you :] Do you already use this stuff? Let me know what you think about it!!

YSL Parisienne: A Lovely Floral Fragrance

YSL Parisienne is a gorgeous, very sensual fragrance. It's a really pretty floral fragrance, with notes of blackberry, damask rose, and sandalwood. I got a small bottle of it when it first came out, but I've used it all up since then. I definitely need to buy another bottle of this stuff. It's just really nice to spritz on every once in a while. Parisienne's not a terribly unique fragrance, but it's light and delicate, and dries down very nicely, so it's worth having around. It's also a plus that the bottle is absolutely gorgeoussss :] Anyone else like YSL's Parisienne? Tell me what you think about it!!

MAC's 109- An Amazing Multi-Tasking Brush

MAC's 109 is one of those brushes that's able to do lots of different things... It's small and dense and rounded with short bristles so it's perfect for applying color to small places- It's my go-to contouring brush!! Another task I love to use my 109 for is FOUNDATION APPLICATION :] Because it's so dense, it really buffs my liquid foundation in effortlessly... It doesn't leave streaks like some of the synthetic paddle-shaped brushes, and it's a lot denser than stippling brushes so blends everything in better. Also, it's soft and small enough to even apply blush and highlighting products :] MAC's 109 is VERY versatile, and I totally recommend it to ANYONE that wears face makeup!! Lol<3333 So, do you love this awesome brush? What do YOU use it for? :]

NARS Sin Blush: A Beautiful Berry-Colored Blush

NARS' Sin is a pretty unique color not often seen worn as blush. It's a purplish rosey berry color with some gold shimmer running through it. You can wear this lightly swept on or you can build the color up when you want a more sexy/dramatic look. I like Sin a lot but it's not really one of my favorite colors- I think it'd be a little more flattering on deeper/darker skintones. I tend to wear this color mostly at nighttime when I want to look a little more dramatic. So, what do you think of this blush? How do you wear it? :]

MAC's Blacktied Eyeshadow

Blacktied is another gorgeous dark color from MAC's permanent collection. It also happens to be another one of my favorite colors, because it looks absolutely AMAZING in a smokey eye<3333 It's a dark charcoal loaded with fine silver glitter. It has awesome pigmentation and blends out pretty nicely for me. I usually wear Blacktied all over the lid, from the lashlines to the crease, with a gorgeous silver color like Silver Ring or Idol Eyes on the inner corners. I tend to get a lot of fallout with Blacktied but I'm able to avoid making a big mess by using a sticky black base and tapping my brush off before applying it to my eyelids. Sometimes I use it just in the crease, and I especially love setting my eyeliner with it because it gives just the prettiest sparkle to my lashlines<333 Blacktied is an awesome eyeshadow to have in your collection, especially if you're a big fan of the smokey eye look like I am. And it's just so pretty with all that silver glitter in it :] Anyone else love Blacktied? Let me know how you wear this eyeshadow...

MAC Honour Blush: A Gorgeous Golden Glow

MAC's Honour blush is a gorgeous shimmery golden beige, especially for someone with a tan... I tend to use it more as a highlighter powder rather than an actual blush. It looks really pretty dusted over the high points of your face, and gives a really nice healthy glow. It has some subtle shimmer but not by any means is it tacky or overwhelming. Let me know what you think about Honour :]

Thierry Mugler Womenswear Autumn/Winter 2012

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been watching this runway show over and over and over and over again all day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thierry Mugler is an absolutely amazing designer that I've loved for years... The clothes are so modern and futuristic yet still very chic and sophisticated... I've seen a lots of monochromatic looks- black, beige, red and blue... then lots of white at the end. LADY GAGA made her runway premiere in this show!!!! She also premiered a new song for this show as well, "Government Hooker." I love Gaga so much, and this show is absolutely amazing!!! Watch it and let me know what you think!!! What's your favorite look or piece from the collection? <33333
Watch the runway show:

MAC Springsheen Blush: The Perfect Blush For Spring

MAC's Springsheen Blush is a gorgeous color to sweep onto your cheeks for Spring and Summer!!! It's a really warm peachy pink/coral with subtle gold micro-shimmer. It's a Sheertone Shimmer so it gives you a gorgeous flush and a pretty sheen without looking too dramatic. It's very similar to NARS' ever-popular Orgasm blush but it's a bit more sheer. What do you think of Springsheen? Let me know :]

MAC's Sketch Eyeshadow: A Beautiful Purplish Burgundy

Sketch is a beautiful red-toned burgundy/plum eyeshadow. Although it's mostly matte, it does have tiny, barely noticeable red micro-shimmer. It complements brown eyes so well- I love wearing this either all over the lid, or just in the crease or on the lashlines. I love especially love wearing it with shimmery brown, bronze and gold-ish colors. It's a great color when you need some drama but don't exactly want to wear a super-dark color. Anyone else love Sketch? Tell me how you wear it :]

Chanel's Beige Guitare Glossimer

While browsing my local Chanel counter a few months back, the Beige Guitare Glossimer instantly caught my eye. As soon as I saw it, I pretty much knew I NEEDED it. I grabbed it, swatched it on the back of my hand, and made it part of my purchases that day. By now, anyone who has read a few of my posts knows that I'm sickeningly OBSESSED with a nude lip. I love any nude lip product, from peaches to pinks, from pale beiges to tans. Beige Guitare is a perfect gloss to slather on top of all of my favorite nude lipsticks. It doesn't have much pigment, but it has the most beautiful effect on the lips. It's a sheer beige with a very subtle peachy pink sparkle. The shimmer is not at all overwhelming though, and really dresses up any boring lip color. On it's own, it doesn't do too much. It helps mute the lips just the smallest amount, and looks amazing with a smokey eye and peach blush (of course). Being a Chanel gloss, it comes in the most luxurious square-ish shaped tube with a black and gold top. It has a very smooth formula and isn't sticky at all. It was very pricey at around $30, but it's not easy for a nude lip lover to say no to this beautiful shimmering gloss. Unfortunately, it's also Limited Edition. I haven't seen anything similar to this color, but I'll of course be on the look-out for any lipgloss that looks like Beige Guitare<33333 So, anyone else love this gloss? What's your favorite glossimer? Lemme know :]

MAC's Electric Eel Eyeshadow: A Vibrant Turquoise

Electric Eel is one of MAC's brighter, much more unique colors. I remember when I first bought this shadow a long time ago... I walked up to the MAC counter at my Nordstrom and this stuff was literally SCREAMING out me from the eyeshadow display. It's a gorgeous turquoise, it's supposed to be a Satin but I think it's a lot more of a Matte. It looks super bright and almost neon in the pan, but once you get it onto your eyelid, it's more of a basic jewel blue tone. It shows up darker once you put it on with your base and blend it out. I admit, Electric Eel is kind of chalky and hard to work with, but the color is just so vibrant and gorgeous that I still love it :] I used to wear this with other bright colors like Chrome Yellow and Bitter when I was into the whole bright crazy neon look. If you like this color but aren't into extreme looks, I think it'd be nice to have a neutral brown/bronze eye and just put a little bit of Electric Eel onto the bottom lashline for a nice pop of color. Bronze and Turquoise are SOOOO gorgeous together!!! I also like to wear this stuff with Contrast or Carbon in the crease for a nice blue smokey eye. It's not really a color for those who love neutral subdued looks, but it's really nice to have just for fun :] This is probably not a very "wearable" color by the standards of most makeup wearers, but there are lots of us who like these really bright unique colors<33333

Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Lipstick in Tea Rose #148

YSL's Rouge Pur Lipstick in Tea Rose is probably the most versatile and wearable nude lipstick I've ever encountered. It's an intensely gorgeous nude, with equal amounts of peach and pink. There are many nude lipsticks out there like this, but none of them are exactly the same as Tea Rose. I first discovered this color a while back, maybe 2 or 3 years ago in my friend's makeup collection. I liked it but I didn't really think too much of it because at the time, it was too pink for my liking. I then saw that Lorraine Stanick, also known as TheCurrentCustom on YouTube wore this quite often, as it was her favorite lipstick. I now consider this to be one of my own personal favorites now too :] It has a very creamy consistency, and being a Rouge Pur, is very well-pigmented. I can wear this color at daytime or nighttime with any makeup look and it looks perfect. It's a light-medium nude but I feel like it's warm-toned and pink enough to where anyone can wear this color. It's so pretty, and all YSL products come in the most beauuuuuutiful golden packaging :] I think next time I'm at a big Nordstrom I'm gonna have to pick up another one of these babies. Yes, it's just THAT pretty<33333 If you're ever had troubles with nude lipsticks looking too pale or too peach or too pink or too pasty on your lips, swatch or try on Tea Rose when you get the chance- You will probably love it. And need it. And you just might not be able to live without it :]

Anne Hathaway at the 2011 Oscar's

Anne Hathaway did an awesome job co-hosting the Academy Awards the other night, but what stood out to me mostly were her gowns that night, especially these three in particular. The first one was a tiered, appliquéd gray-and-black gown, made especially for her by Vivienne Westwood Couture. The second one, my favorite one, was a golden, one-shoulder Oscar de la Renta gown, which she accented with Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelets, earrings and rings. And the third one, my last favorite, was a gorgeous beaded crimson Atelier Versace gown with scalloped sweetheart neckline and Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings, bracelet and ring. Anne's classical beauty is totally reminiscent of old Hollywood actresses. She had seven different wardrobe changes that night, which one was YOUR favorite? :]

MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow: The Perfect Shimmery Neutral

Satin Taupe is a gorgeous shimmery neutral brown-ish taupe that should be in everyone's makeup collection. It looks nice swept all over the lid from lash-line to crease, and works well as a base color in a smokey eye combination with shroom in the inner corners and Carbon in the crease. If you're running late or don't want to spend too much time doing your makeup, you can just sweep this all over and it gives the eyelids such a nice dimension :] If you're looking for a pretty shimmery neutral brown, I totally recommend checking out Satin Taupe next time your at a MAC store/counter. Do you love it? Or is it just another boring brown? Let me know!!

MAC's Creme d'Nude Lipstick

MAC's Creme d'Nude is another one of my all-time-favorite can't-leave-the-house-without nude lipsticks<33333 Creme d'Nude. Isn't that such a pretty thing to say? The name says it all- It's CREAMY and it's NUDE :] The two biggest requirements I have for a lipstick!!! It's so lovely to have this stuff on the lips- you can't go wrong with a super-creamy pink-toned light beige peachy nude. It gives you that gorgeous Brigitte Bardot/Audrey Hepburn look in just a few swipes. Being a Cremesheen, it feels like a like a rich lip-balm but still has pretty nice pigmentation. And one thing that I can never get enough of is the SMELL of MAC's lipsticks. It's a subtle vanilla scent- I've had people in the past that my lips smelled like ice cream hahahahaha... Creme d'Nude's close family members include Myth, Fleshpot, Hue, and other light nudes. But of course, Creme d'Nude's the prettiest, and in my case, very wearable. It doesn't give me the whole chalk-lip/zombie look in the way Myth does. I like mixing it with darker colors sometimes, like Hug Me and Freckletone. Then again, you can mix it with any colors you want, I'd stick to pinks, peaches, and nudes though. I'm forever rockin a dramatic smokey eye, so nude lips are naturally my favorite lip-look :] So now's the time I ask you- what are your thoughts and opinions on MAC's Creme d'Nude? Is it one of your staple nude lipsticks? Or do you find that it's too pale for your skin-tone and washes you out? We all have different skin-tones and different lip-colors, different preferences and different aesthetics, so let me know how Creme d'Nude works on you!! :] If you don't already own this beautiful shade, you can check it out at your local MAC stores and MAC counters, or you can pick it up from MAC's website :]

MAC Peachtwist Blush

MAC's Peachtwist is a Sheertone Shimmer Blush... It was one of my impulse buys on a makeup shopping trip a few months ago. The color is kind of a bronzey peach... It's warm-toned and has some slight shimmer to it. It's a really nice pretty color if you have a nice tan going on- it's kinda peachy brown and has a really nice sheen to it. On me it looks like a nice glowing terra-cotta shade, almost like bronzer. It really warms up the complexion and gives a real beachy feel... I think it's a color that looks much prettier on the skin than in the pan, you know what I mean? If you don't already have it, check it out!!! It might be your perfect Summer-time blush!!

MAC's High Tea Lipstick: A Gorgeous Sheer Nude

I was at The Grove (mall) the other day in L.A. and I stopped by the MAC store to pick a few things up... I bought a few things but the one thing I'm most interested in is High Tea lipstick. It's a really nice color- a medium pink-ish nude. What I like most about this color is how SHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER it is. When I put this super creamy lipstick on, it literally just gives the slightest amount of color, and a lot of shine. It's kind of like a lipgloss in lipstick form. It's a very moisturizing formula- it feels smooth and slippery on the lips. I like that I can wear this whenever I don't want to look too made up. It's a great daytime nude lipstick. I also like wearing this lipstick layered on top of or underneath another much more pigmented lipstick to help sheer it out a bit. If you're looking for a very sheer yet VERY PRETTY medium pink nude lipstick, DEFINITELY pick up High Tea today!!!! It won't wash you out, it won't make you look dead or sickly, and it won't dry your lips out. It has very neutral tones, so you can wear it whether you have warm or cool undertones. I feel like this is a lipstick that EVERY nude lip lover should have in their collection!!! Is anyone else loving this lipstick right now too!?!? Let me know ;]
