MAC Viva Glam Gaga II Lip Glass

I went to the mall today and I picked up some new makeup... One of the items being the new Viva Glam Gaga II Lip Glass :] I bought the lipstick a few days ago and I'm totally in love with it, so of course I needed the lipglass to wear over it :] The lipglass is also a gorgeous light to medium nude... very neutral... and like most MAC lipglasses, has a very small amount of micro-shimmer running through it, which is unnoticeable when on the lips. What I love most about this particular lipglass is it's PIGMENTATION!!!! Finally a lipglass that can stand on it's own :] In the past I've been kinda disappointed by so many lipglasses that look so gorgeous on the tube but show up as a clear gloss on the lips!!! VVG2LG is a really pretty creamy kind of nude that adds dimension to the lips... I've been trying to stay away from the washed out/zombie lip look lately, and this stuff helps mute the lips a bit and adds a gorgeous sheen to the lips... And OF COURSE it looks great with a smokey eye :] Okay I've babbled on long enough about this stuff. Let me know what YOU think of it :] Is it JUST another nude? Is it too dark or too light for your skin-tone? Do you feel like this stuff washes you out?

MAC's Viva Glam Gaga II Lipstick

I went to the mall yesterday and when I was at Nordstrom OF COURSE I had to go check out the new Viva Glam Gaga II Lipstick because I had seen swatches of it online and I KNEW that I'd love it. I DID. OMG. This is TOTALLY my favorite lipstick right now :] It's SUCH a gorgeous nude for my skintone... Viva Glam Gaga II is described as a light neutral pinked beige. I feel as though it's more of a medium nude though, with subtle peach undertones.  Seriously I feel like it's the nude lipstick I've been waiting for for all of these years. I know it looks a lot like many of MAC's other nude lipsticks, but this one just seems to be perfect... And the formula is Amplified so it's super-pigmented.... I don't have to build this stuff up like lots of other lipsticks. The texture of this lipstick is super creamy and moisturizing... I seriously can't say enough about VGGG2 :] And of course I love the fact that 100% of the proceeds of MAC's Viva Glam products are donated to funding for AIDS research. I recommend this to anyone that likes warm-medium beige nude lipsticks... Anyone that wants to help fund AIDS research, and anyone that loves Lady Gaga<333 I'm probably gonna go back to the mall later on a pick up a few more of these :]

MAC Carbon Eyeshadow

Carbon eyeshadow by MAC is one of those staples that we all seem to have in our makeup bag, but never really seem to glance over twice. It's just a flat, matte black. No shimmer, no glitter, nothing amazing really. But what I LOVE about it is that it gives depth and drama. Life would be so boring without deep, dark smokey eyes! I love this stuff because it's got the perfect amount of pigmentation. It's not too dark, but not too grey. I love using it all over the lid up into the crease for a perfect simple smokey eye. Black eyeshadow all over the lid is just so vampy and glamorous and sophisticated, especially with a glossy nude lip :] Sometimes I just like to apply it in certain places, like on my lower lashline, or just in my crease, and it's perfect for setting eyeliner on the waterline. It's not the MOST pigmented black eyeshadow ever, but that's not such a bad thing- it's easier to blend :] I can even use Carbon very very lightly to shade in my eyebrows if I need to... If I feel like my eye makeup is boring or underwhelming and I need to kick it up a notch, I'll take a pencil brush or a fluffy blending brush and apply some of this stuff in my outer V area and blend it a bit. This shadow is so overlooked, but it really has a LOT more uses than w give it credit for, and I couldn't see myself NOT using it on a daily/nightly basis. I love the staying power that this stuff has too. Use it with the right primer, and it'll stay on all day and all night :] Sooooo who else loves this shadow? Anyone else use Carbon all the time? How do you incorporate it into your eyeshadow looks? :]
