MAC's Sketch Eyeshadow: A Beautiful Purplish Burgundy

Sketch is a beautiful red-toned burgundy/plum eyeshadow. Although it's mostly matte, it does have tiny, barely noticeable red micro-shimmer. It complements brown eyes so well- I love wearing this either all over the lid, or just in the crease or on the lashlines. I love especially love wearing it with shimmery brown, bronze and gold-ish colors. It's a great color when you need some drama but don't exactly want to wear a super-dark color. Anyone else love Sketch? Tell me how you wear it :]

OPI's Midnight in Moscow Nail Polish

Midnight in Moscow is from OPI's  2007 Fall/Winter Russian collection. This is my FAVORITE nail polish ever. It's simply DIVINE!!! It's a beautiful vampy color- it's a rich charcoal black laced with some deep red micro-shimmer. It appears to be mostly black but when you look at it close-up or under a bright light, you can really see how gorgeous the red micro-shimmer is. I only ever wear black or white nail polishes and I especially love when they have a bit of shimmer in them. Midnight in Moscow is the nail polish equivalent of MAC's Beautymarked eyeshadow... I love them both dearly<333 Soooo let me know what you think? What's your favorite OPI nail polish? :]

NARS Exhibit A Blush

NARS Exhibit A blush is extremely bright primary red, with no glitter or shimmer. It's extremely pigmented so I recommend applying this stuff with a stippling brush using a very light hand. If you apply it light enough, it can look very natural, but of course you can build up the intensity with this stuff if you want your cheeks to be a little brighter/more dramatic. I don't reach for this stuff very often but I like having it around though just because it looks good on lots of different skin-tones and I like that Exhibit A can be a multi-use product. I sometimes use it as a bright red eyeshadow, and you can even dab some on top of glossed lips to give them a nice fiery red color. I like wearing lots of highlight with this blush to give the face more dimension when wearing it... If you have flat red on your cheeks it can almost look kind of Raggedy Ann/sunburn-ish/clown-ish... But yeah I think Exhibit A is a great NARS blush to own if you're someone that loves bright colors and really likes to experiment with makeup. Let me know if you use this blush... or what you think of it :]

BEAUTYMARKED EYESHADOW. CREATURE OF THE NIGHT.

Beautymarked is one of my favorite eyeshadows from MAC's permanent collection, if not my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. It's a gorgeous velvety black eyeshadow with LOTS of reddish burgundy glitter. I remember first buying it many years ago because I saw it sitting on the eyeshadow display at the MAC counter and thought to myself that I'd never really seen anything like that at all. Since then, Over the years, I have used copious amounts of this smoldering color. To this day, I have not found a similar eyeshadow that's as intensely pigmented, rich, gorgeous and glittery as this beautiful color. I've seen lots of eyeshadows slightly similar, but no other company has really been able to duplicate it. I've always been drawn to dark colors. The darker, the better. I'm terribly addicted to black eyeshadows, and I just cannot resist a black eyeshadow that contains shimmer or reflects. I love richly pigmented vampy shades that look amazing when used to create a smokey eye. Beautymarked is extremely pigmented. It is easily grabbed by eyeshadow brushes, and yes, it shows up exactly on the eye as it does in the pan. I've found, however, that if you want all of the red reflects to show up on your eyes, you have to use a sticky eyeshadow base or else the glitter will get eaten by your brush instead of adhering to your eyelid. In the past, I've had some trouble with fallout from Beautymarked, but after a while of using this color, you'll learn how to apply it in a way that avoids creating fallout. I've seen that a lot of people will use this color to line their eyes, or they'll wear it in the crease or to smoke out their outer V. Personally, my favorite way to wear it is all over my lid, from lashline to crease, then blended out very well. It looks good with just a little big of a shimmery silver or white color on the inner corner, and I usually don't care to wear a highlight color on my brow-bone. Sometimes too much highlight can take away from the effect of a dramatic smokey eye. Is anyone else completely obsessed with this color? Anyone have it but not use it very often? Tell me about your experience with Beautymarked... How do you like to wear it?
