Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect in Tweed Corail
This blush is divinely gorgeous<3333 It's a beautiful rosey peach blush with a silky smooth texture. It has a gorgeous glow to it- it's not frosty or glittery and really has no visible shimmer in it. When you first use it, there's the tiniest amount of golden over-spray but that goes away literally after the first use. The Chanel "Les Tissages" blushes are stamped into a design which is supposed to resemble the texture of Chanel's classic tweed suits. This color is perfect for those that like subtle colors- it's called a coral, but to me it's a peach. I really like it. It's something I would wear year round, but I know a lot of Chanel fans would probably tend to wear this mostly during Spring. I just like the fact that it's not so deep and overly pigmented like so many other blushes I own. Like Coco always said- makeup should be used to enhance, not adorn :] I'm sure there are many other peach blushes out there for much less than $50, but this blush is just so pretty and versatile and although quite delicate, I feel as though "Tweed Corail" has a lot to say.
As usual, feel free to add me as a friend, comment my posts, follow me, etc :] I took the pictures<3333

Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Black Star
I have a major obsession with black eyeshadows, especially black eyeshadows with glitter in them. I also have an obsession with anything Chanel. When I saw Chanel's Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Black Star sitting on display at the Chanel counter, I added it to my purchases that day without a second thought. It's a beautiful charcoal black eyeshadow with silver glitter and finer multi-colored reflects floating throughout it. It's a mature, more refined/sophisticated version of MAC's Blacktied eyeshadow. It has beautiful pigmentation- it's easy to pack this stuff on, and it sparkles beautifully. It's really pretty when you wear it all over the lid, then blended at the crease, but sometimes when I want a subtle/more sophisticated look. I'll wear Black Star as a liner with a pretty peach-toned nude eyeshadow, like Night Star by NARS. Black Star is gorgeous when worn in the crease too. It blends perfectly without losing intensity (when you use the right base and brush), and I find that it has amazing staying power- it lasts longer than Blacktied, in my opinion. Something unique about it too, is that it tends to have less fallout than other eyeshadows similar to it. Perhaps it's packed and pressed better? Either way I love it, and it's the perfect eyeshadow to wear out at night :] If you want a cheaper alternative, I suggest Night Breed by NARS and Blacktied by MAC. These shadows are all pretty similar but different enough in texture to make me puchase them all. Maybe later on I'll do a compare/contrast post on them. If you'd like an even cheaper alternative, I've bought shadows from Sonia Kashuk, Flirt, and WetNWild that were all excellent dupes :] I did my best to photgraph Black Star's beauty, but I definitely recommend checking it out at the Chanel counter- swatch it and prepare to fall in love<33333

Chanel Glossimer in Constellation
I was at the Chanel counter at the Macy's in Beverly Center looking at makeup when I just decided to splurge on some things. I love impulse buying<33333 One of the things I picked up that day was this GORGEOUS lip gloss. Constellation to me is a very sheer peachy pink gloss with lots of fine glitter running through it. The glitter is mostly gold, but there are lots of other colors floating through it, making it look like a "constellation." In the sunlight, I can see lots of blue, pink, green, and violet colored glitter floating in it too. It reminds me of a much prettier, much more sophisticated MAC Dazzleglass. But alas, it's Chanel, so it's much more lux :] I feel as though Chanel Glossimers have a plumping property to them. Not in a painful burning way, but in a way that just makes your lips look and feel bigger and more lush and so much smoother. It's hard to explain, you'd just have to try one on and sit there for a few minutes. Uggghhhhh glossimers are just so eye-catching and truly beautiful, especially in the right lighting<3333 As obsessed with lipstick as I am, I surprisingly just like to wear Glossimers on their own :] I feel like the glitter/shimmer can be seen so much better and it's just such a fresh flattering look. Of course, they do look amazing over lipstick as well though. I like to dab them on top rather than brush the product in, to avoid dulling the glittering properties of the gloss. Look closely at the picture above- I tried my best to capture Constellation's beauty with a digital camera and indoor lighting lol... Tell me what you think<3333333
A Few Of My Favorite Cosmetics Purchases From The Past Month Or Two...
Yes, I've been doing quite a bit of shopping over the past month or so, and YES, most of it has been for makeup :] I love it all... I don't know why I'm so obsessed with it, but I am. I love compacts and tubes and jars and palettes, and I especially love NARS, Chanel, YSL, MAC and Dior :] I'm going to be reviewing most of the "fun" things I've picked up lately. I've really gotten back into Chanel lately, and I've been buying fragrances a little more often too. I will forever love my black eyeshadows and my nude lipsticks<3333 A lot of these products have probably already been talked about by like everyone and their mom. Some of them I may have already reviewed in the past, but sometimes when I re-purchase an item and try it out all over again, I tend to have a different experience with it. But I really don't care hahahahaha I love to put my two cents out there :] I've photographed each item individually for each review- I'm SO not good at taking pictures of things. I'm only ever awake at night, and of course it's hard to take good quality pictures of things in indoor lighting- but hopefully the pictures will be clear enough to be helpful, hahahaha... I'm still getting used to this stuff. Tell me about some products you've picked up lately that you're really excited about!!!!

Orly Space Cadet: Dark Rainbow Nail Polish
Space Cadet is from Orly's "Cosmic FX" line that was launched in Fall 2010. Although it is limited edition, I was able to pick it up yesterday at my local Ulta. It seems to be Orly's most talked about nail polish- I've seen it and heard it mentioned in so many YouTube videos, I've read about it on blogs, etc... I can totally see what all the fuss is about- IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!
Have you ever seen a puddle of oil sitting on asphalt, glistening in the sun? And you know how it's a dark-rainbow color? Like you can see all the colors of the rainbow but they're darker in a way? Or have you ever seen a black beetle with a dark iridescent exo-skeleton? Well that's exactly what Space Cadet looks like. I guess the base itself is mostly a dark forest green, but there are so many iridescent/holographic effects to this gorgeous duo-chrome polish that it looks all different colors in different lighting and in different angles. And there's this gorgeous micro-shimmer floating through it that gives it a super shiny mirror effect. Space Cadet looks a greenish golden bronze with amber-gold glitter running through it in daylight. In more dim lighting, it appears to be an amethyst violet color with pink glitter. This is one of the prettiest, most interesting nail polishes I've ever encountered. One coat is kinda sheer, but then it builds up intensity and reaches opacity in about 2 or 3 coats, although I like to wear more because I like my polish a little bit thicker.
It's just as difficult to photograph as it is to describe lol... In my opinion, it looks a lot like Chanel's Period Nail Polish from their new Fall collection. I definitely recommend Orly's Space Cadet to anyone that enjoys more unique nail polishes. It's really fun but it still has a certain sophistication to it. It's really nice layered on other nail polishes, so far I've really enjoyed it over any black polish. Later on I'll experiment with glitter top coats over Space Cadet. This color was from Orly's Mineral FX collection or whatever, so it was a little pricier than their usual polishes, at $10, but Ulta often has special deals going on and coupons available. Here's Ulta's Orly Nail Polish Web Page: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod1460066#sku2220656
I took the pictures on my own. It was kinda difficult to effectively photograph this color, but check out this blog post- it has amazing pictures of Space Cadet: http://www.lacquerized.com/2010/09/orly-space-cadet-sci-fi-on-your-nails.html

Hard Candy Blush Crush Baked Blush in Honeymoon
Wal-Mart started carrying Hard Candy products just a couple of years ago... FYI: Hard Candy is Urban Decay's little sister line (hence the cute packaging). I used to love the Hard Candy products that were carried at Sephora a long time ago- those were a little pricier and better quality for the most part, but the Hard Candy line at Wal-Mart is awesome quality too. It's pretty amazing for being drug-store stuff.
That being said: I LOVE their baked blushes, bronzers, and even their baked eyeshadows. The pigmentation isn't that amazing, but I love the texture and consistency of these products. These dome-shaped pressed mineral powders are pretty finely milled and remind me a lot of MAC's Mineralized products, like their Skin-Finishes. I love that they're satin-y and frosty at the same time. They have a pretty gleam to them when on the skin, but aren't too shimmery or frosty at all.
My favorite "Blush Crush" is in the shade "Honeymoon." It's supposed to be a blush, and it is- for very very pale skin-tones. I have a medium skin-tone though, so "Honeymoon" shows up more as a glowing peachy-pinkish highlight. I LOVE THAT. I recommend a firm brush when applying this stuff, because it's not easily picked up by some softer brushes. I tend to just use a finger to put this stuff on sometimes. Yeah, I really like this product. It was only like 7 or 8 bucks, and it'll last you a while. Try it out next time you're at Wal-Mart :]
Revlon Super-Lustrous Lipgloss in Shine City
I went to Wal-Mart the other day with my sister... We just went to pick up some stuff because we were bored. I really like Super-Lustrous lipglosses from Revlon, and I saw this one there next to the others. I thought it was really pretty. Shine City is a really really transparent pink-ish gloss with some really pretty micro-shimmer running through it. When you put this stuff on though, it literally just shows up as clear gloss. I was hoping the shimmer would show up, but it really doesn't. In the tube, it looks sort of like some of Chanel's shimmery transparent pink Glossimers that they've put out in the past, but no. It's just clear. It'd probably be nice to wear on top of a lipstick or a lip liner, but on it's own, it just adds a bit of shine. I'm not complaining though. I feel like you can never have too many clear lip glosses, and being a Revlon Super-Lustrous gloss, it's not sticky at all, unscented, and only like $7. It's great to just throw into your bag for when you out and you need a little something on the lips. You know what I mean? I think I'll play around with this gloss a bit more- maybe I'll like it better in daytime in the sunlight.... Or in pictures... Or something like that :]

MAC's Lipliner in "Naked Liner"
The other day I was at the MAC counter picking up some lipsticks when I saw this lipliner sitting in their lipliner cup. The color really caught my eye, cuz I LOVE my nudes<3333 In the past, I haven't been a big fan of lipliner (chola, anyone?), I've just been happy with lipsticks and lipglosses. And I thought that most lipliners tended to be way darker than what I liked. Naked Liner though, is different- it's super light. It's even lighter than MAC's Myth Lipstick. Naked Liner is similar in color to NARS' Madere Matte Lipstick in that it's a super-pale pinky beige nude. I know a lot of people are scared of the "concealer lips" look, and I don't like that look at all either. Naked Liner is just great for nude-ing or blanking out your lips before applying a lipstick so that there's a nude base, and so that the lipstick's color can show true without competing with your natural lipcolor. It's just really nice for lightening up a lip look, and I love the lasting power of it. It can look kinda chalky on your lips if they're dry so I totally recommend putting on some lipbalm a few minutes before putting Naked Liner on. The color is so gorgeous- a lot of times I'll use it to highlight my cupid's bow and the center of my bottom lip when I'm wearing a nude lip look. I've even heard of some people wearing this on their eyes in the waterline, but that's a whole other story... Yeah so if you like nude lips, or are looking for something to lighten up some of your current lippies, check out Naked Liner. I like it a LOT more than I thought I would, believe me :]
(I took a picture of the lipliner on my computer desk. I think the flash kinda washed the lipliner out, but you get the idea.)
Makeup Porn :]
I was doing my friend's makeup the other night before we went out... I let her go through some of my makeup to let her choose what she wanted me to put on her... (She went a bit overboard)... Of course we were taking pictures of ourselves... and I liked how all the makeup looked so I took a picture of it really quick :] If you want a review on anything, let me know :]
Tokidoki Prisma Lip Gloss in Donutella
Yes, I'm a total sucker for nude lippies. If it's nude, I need it. Tokidoki's Prisma Gloss in Donutella was no exception. It appears to be a little darker than most nudes I tend to go for, but it's seriously SO SHEER that that barely makes a difference. Despite it's appearance in the tube, this stuff goes on pretty much clear. It's definitely not a must-have by any means, but the packaging is super cute, as all Tokidoki products are. It's a square-shaped tube and it has a little "snow-globe" at the top of it, with the "Donutella" character inside of it surrounded by loose Tokidoki confetti and glitter and rhinestones and who-knows-what-else... The unique thing about Tokidoki glosses is that they don't come with a doe-foot or brush applicator, the applicator is actually a little plastic paddle that taps or spreads the gloss onto your lips. I also love that their glosses smell like blueberries. Check out the Prisma glosses next time your at your local Sephora!!!
MAKEUP FOREVER's Rouge Artist Intense #22
MAKEUP FOREVER launched their Rouge Artist Intense line last year... I think it's an AMAZING line- the lipsticks are SO pigmented, and there are SOOOOOO many colors to choose from. And I love the textures- they have matte, satin, and pearl, so there's literally a lipstick for everyone in this line :] OF COURSE I go straight for the nudes (I only wear nudes). #22 is THE PRETTIEST nude lipstick I've seen in a LONG time, and it's currently my absolute FAVORITE!!!! It's a satin flesh-toned nude. It's got some warm peachy undertones but warm and cool-toned people can wear this color easily. #22 is a satin, and LET ME TELL YOU- MUFE's satins are soooooo much better than MAC's satin's. This stuff is smooth but not slippery, and it's super-pigmented without being drying or chalky. It's so moisturizing that it feels like lip balm :] I feel like if Brigitte Bardot had to pick a lipstick from this line, she'd pick #22 :] If you want a cheaper dupe, I'd recommend MAC's Creme d'Nude or Revlon's Soft Nude. Seriously though, next time you're in Sephora, check these babies out and give em a swatch or two. You'll probably love them!!! I'm definitely going back for more, whether I need them or not :]
Black, Blue-Green and Purple Makeup Look
A couple of weeks back, QueenOfBlending had a makeup contest on Twitter, and the theme was "Black, Blue-Green and Purple." I threw some things on, then kept adding stuff. It wasn't my absolute best but I thought it was fun, and I really liked the colors together :] I used a lot of different things, but a majority of the products were from MAC, NARS and MAKEUPFOREVER.
Nails of the Day... OPI Baby It's Coal Outside with Wet N Wild's Kaleidoscope
I just found the upload cord for my camera and I wanted to upload this picture really quick. I took a picture of my nails the other day. This is a nail polish look I've been enjoying lately- the base is OPI's Baby It's Coal Outside, which is a black cream with silver shimmer and multi-colored reflects. Then on top of it, I put my new favorite holographic glitter polish from Wet N Wild, "Kaleidoscope." (I've done reviews of both polishes on here...) I'm not good at photography at all, I just wanted to share this combination. And don't mind the band-aid lol... I had a tiny scrape from a piece of glass... But yeah, this is what I really like on my nails right now :] I'll hopefully start taking more of my own pictures now instead of using Google images so often lol

Chanel Cosmetics Fall 2011: Illusion d'Ombres
Chanel's latest cosmetics launch: Illusion d'Ombres (Illusion of Shadows) has just recently hit stores for Fall. I'm a huge fan of Chanel makeup, and I love that they've introduced some new products this season- I've been wanting some new textures lately, and I like that this line has a little bit of something for everyone. The standout item this season is the cream shadow, which is a silicone-gel formula. They're supposed to be "intensely shimmery" and really easy to blend. It's available in six shades, they look as though they'll be gorgeous either on their own, or layered with other products to create the perfect smokey eye look. I haven't been to the mall in like a week or so, so I haven't had the chance to see this collection in person yet. I'm curious as to how the cream shadows will wear. I've heard some rumors that these are supposed to be Chanel's version of Giorgio Armani's "Eyes to Kill" Silk Shadows, which I believe are beautiful as well. The Chanel cream shadows, however are a little more pricey, though they do come with a brush I've heard. I really love the color palette of this collection- and I love that the concept of the collection is loosely based on the ever-popular smokey eye, pinky nude lip concept. I'm excited for this collection, but I think the cream shadows are of course overpriced at almost $40 each. ($36+tax) So what do you think so far? Don't these pieces look enticing? I can't wait to swatch them :]
Justin Bieber's "Someday" vs. Marc Jacobs' "Lola"
Okay so a while back I got an email from Sephora introducing Justin Bieber's new fragrance "Some Day." I instantly realized it looked a LOT like my bottle of Lola by Marc Jacobs. I haven't smelled Justin's new perfume yet, but I already have an idea in my head that it'll smell really fake and nauseating. I tend to not like celebrity fragrances- Kim K, Paris, JLo and Usher should leave the perfuming to Chanel, Dior and Gucci. Seriously. Okay that got off topic. I'll have to do a separate post on that later. But yeah, I think Mr. Bieber should've chosen a more original design to house his fragrance. Well, that's just my opinion... what does everyone else think?
A Current Dislike: Forever 21
I've recently been kind of annoyed with Forever 21. I don't hate this store, and I do shop there every once in a while, but there are just some things that I cannot stand about this company. Mainly, they're return policy. Or should I say... exchange policy. Hahahahaha I don't pay attention to it anymore, but last time I looked at the receipt I think the policy said that you could exchange something with tags on with the receipt within 7 days? But accessories are all final sale? And you can't return anything at all? Yeah this is a horrible policy. You should be able to return or exchange any unworn items with tags still attached and receipt within at least 30 days. Yeah? YEAH. And it sucks that their garments start to look old after like 2 or 3 washes hahahaha... And their jewelry turns green and falls apart easily. Yeah, they have cute trendy stuff, and I do like it, but the quality of the products is horrible and the "return" policy is horrendous. I've really been into H&M though lately, lol... Okay all of these statements are just my opinion... What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Let me know :]

Beth Ditto: My Number One Style Icon and Inspiration
I first heard about Beth Ditto a few years ago, when I read an article about her in NYLON Magazine. I fell in love with her instantly. For those who don't know- she's the frontwoman of the band "The Gossip." She's very well-known for being really outspoken and I love her edgy, avant-garde style. She's very talented and has a gorgeous and powerful voice. Beth is constantly changing the way she looks, and she always has very unique style. What I love most about her though is that she doesn't like her size hold her back- she wears what she wants and she looks damn good in it all. She's not uncomfortable wearing certain things just because she's not a size zero. I find Beth to be a great inspiration in that you don't have to be a size 0 to be beautiful. She came from humble beginnings living in Arkansas to being a famous singer and style icon that hangs out with Karl Lagerfeld and Kate Moss. She's also a rights activist for the LGBT community. I posted some quotes of hers below, and I linked the page I got them from below. I got the pictures of her off of Google Images. If you want to learn more about her, Google her :] And listen to The Gossip!!! You can watch their music videos on YouTube, as well as Beth's solo stuff...
“To be thin and to stay really thin, sometimes… some people literally do coke all the time. Some people smoke cigarettes instead of eating. That’s crazy. But that’s ‘okay’ because you look healthier.”
“I’m not an unhealthy person and I feel like one of the most tiring parts of being fat and being proud of it is… you do a lot of proving yourself all the time."
“It’s really interesting to me that people will look at a thin person and go, ‘That’s a healthy person’. I want to go, ‘Come open my refrigerator and look and then let’s talk about what you think is so bad’.

Sephora Haul... NARS, Urban Decay, and Tokidoki
This is the haul before my last haul... from a couple of weeks ago. I was bored that day and felt like shopping, and of course I love NARS :] I bought a new NARS Sheer Matte Foundation and a few blushes... I picked up an eyeshadow duo in Cordura for my mom since she liked mine... And I thought I'd try a Tokidoki lip gloss because it was cute :] I also picked up a duo of Urban Decay Primer Potions- I like to change mine out often for cleanliness reasons, and I thought I'd try another color besides the original. I'll be doing a few product reviews on some of the things I picked up... My favorite thing out of this stuff was NARS' blush in Madly... It's gorgeous<3333
Wet 'N Wild's Wild Shine Nail Polish in "Kaleidoscope"
This nail polish is absolutely PHENOMENAL!!!! Go to Wal-Mart as soon as you can and buy it!!!! It's a clear nail polish with holographic glitter floating through it. This glitter is mostly silver, but shines all different colors in the light. I like to layer Kaleidoscope on top of other nail polishes but I think it's much prettier on it's own. I usually put a few layers on to build up the intensity of the glitter. This stuff is eye-catchingly beautiful and it's ONLY like a dollar or two!!!! It's a perfect dupe for China Glaze's Nail Polish in Fairy Dust, but I actually prefer the WNW version :] I'll be posting pictures with this stuff on pretty soon- the picture I'm putting up from Google doesn't do this polish any justice... This stuff is so gorgeous and so inexpensive that I'll definitely be buying more soon :]

YSL's Matte and Radiant Pressed Powder
YSL's Matte and Radiant Pressed Powder is pretty amazing. I bought it a whiiiiiiile ago, maybe a year or two back. I haven't really used this stuff very much, so I just recently found it in the back of one of my makeup drawers the other day. I don't know what I haven't used it more often!!! This powder feels SOOOOO soft and smooth and velvety on the skin. It actually feels kind of moisturizing, if you can believe that- so I'm pretty sure that it'd even work for dry skin. When I use it, it cuts shine but it doesn't have me looking awkardly/overly matte, which I like. And the packaging is super cute too- it's a golden square-shaped compact with "YSL" on the front of it, and when you open it up, the powder itself is stamped with a heart with "Yves Saint Laurent" embossed on it. Tres chic<333333
(I used a picture from Google Images)
Deborah Lippman Glitter Nail Polish in "Happy Birthday"
Happy Birthday by Deborah Lippman is currently my favorite nail polish!!!! It's soooooooo gorgeous... If you aren't familiar with this stuff, swatch it next time you're at Nordstrom or somewhere that carries DL polishes... It's a clear gel base that's densely packed with lots and lots of multi-colored glitter. It's seriously one of the prettiest, most interesting polishes I've ever seen, and I've really been into glitter polishes lately. It really pops when layered over a base color, especially black, but I really enjoy just wearing Happy Birthday on it's own. It's so fun and it looks AMAZING when sparkling in the sunlight<33333 Yeah, I agree, $20 for a nail polish is a lot. However, I feel like you can get sooooooo many uses out of this one bottle that it's totally worth it in the end. But, if you're a budget shopper, Wet N Wild has a perfect dupe for Happy Birthday called "Party of Five Glitters," which is much cheaper at only $2 a bottle! They're literally just about the same thing. I've just found, though, in the past that some Wet N Wild polishes tend to chip easily though so if you want a longer lasting manicure when using their products, I just recommend using a good quality top coat. Let me know what you think about Happy Birthday!!! Are you into glitter polishes too? :]

Neutrogena's Redness Soothing Oil-Free Acne Wash (Cream Cleanser)
Whenever I go to Wal-Mart, I have this tendency of just throwing a bunch of different facial cleansers into my cart- I love trying new things. You never know when you'll find an amazing drug-store product, and I honestly believe you can never have too many facial cleansers. I always alternate the ones I use too- I've heard it's better for your skin and I get bored of using the same things over and over again. One of the products I've tried out recently has been this "Redness Soothing Oil-Free Acne Wash" from Neutrogena. I liked the color of the packaging, and the idea that it might reduce any redness. I don't have a problem with acne, but I will wake up with the occasional blemish (or two) every once in a while. I don't have a huge problem with redness either, I'm naturally kinda tan so this isn't a big problem unless I'm really hot or I've over-exfoliated or something like that.
Okay, with all that being said: I neither LIKE nor DISLIKE this product. It's in my shower, and I use it every once in a while. I haven't noticed it making any difference in the texture or appearance of my skin, but it contains menthol which is kind of refreshing, especially now that it's starting to get warmer. If you have sensitive skin, you probably won't like the mentholated feeling it'll give you when using it. I called it cooling and refreshing but you may call it burning and irritating.
The packaging just says "Acne Wash," it didn't say whether it'd be a foaming or creamy cleanser. I think I would enjoy this product much more if it were a foaming cleanser. I feel like when you lather up a face wash, it cleans much more and gets into the pores better. I feel like cream cleansers kinda just sit on the surface of the skin and don't do much for removing oil or dead skin or bacteria or anything along those lines. I feel like foaming cleansers are better for oily skin and cream cleansers are better for dry skin, but I like to use either kind depending on the situation.
Okay I've rambled on enough. Do I recommend this product? Not really. Unless you want something kinda refreshing and you don't have particularly sensitive skin. There are much better drug store cleansers out there, you just have to try them all out and find which ones work for you best. Will I re-purchase this item? Maybe. It's not a horrible product, and it's refreshing- I like to use it when my face doesn't need too heavy of a cleanser. And it's always available at Wal-Mart and I believe it's under $8. I'll probably buy the foaming cleanser version of this product next time.
Let me know if you've tried this product and whether you like it or not. We all have different skin-types and different preferences so it's nice to know what other people think about this product :]
(I used a picture I found on Google because it's a lot easier than photographing and uploading pictures of a product on my own :] I've sourced the link to the picture beloooooowwwwww)

NARS Pressed Powder in Beach
NARS' Pressed Powder is not a very good value for the price. I only bought it because, stupidly, I'm just obsessed with anything that says NARS. I liked the compact because it's big and has a nice sized mirror, but is still thin and sleek enough to fit into a pocket or clutch easily. The powder inside is okay- it's like any other powder in that it sets your foundation nicely and keeps you from getting shiny too fast. I prefer NARS' powder foundation for setting my liquid foundation though, because it's so light and non-cakey and gives more coverage. This pressed powder is just better for touch-ups when you're out and you get shiny. It's has a nice finely-milled texture, but then again, what doesn't these days? Lol... The compact only contains 8 grams but was about $35. Another thing that SUCKS about this product is that it only comes in like 4 shades. I understand these shades are supposed to be universal and whatnot, but only 4!?!? I'm just glad I had a match lol... In their foundations, I'm Barcelona, so I'm Beach in this powder. Yeah, this stuff's not the best when it comes to "bang-for-your-buck," but what can you do... I guess this stuff is just for the NARS-obsessed or for someone who really likes sleek packaging. But if you're looking for an exceptional product, this is not one. Lol. I know this review or whatever wasn't particularly positive, but I'm just saying what I think about the product :] I love NARS makeup, but this definitely isn't one of their best products, at all.
(I hate trying to get pictures just right when I photograph the items, so I just use pictures I've found from Google Images, which I've sourced below!!!!!)

Chanel's Double Perfection Compact Powder Foundation
Chanel's Double Perfection Powder Foundation is a product that has been in and out of my life for years now. I remember the first time I ever bought this stuff must have been when I was like 16. I've always loved powder foundation because my skin tends to be kinda oily, and it's really easy to carry and apply on the go. I also like that powder foundations tend to give a nice "soft focus" effect to the skin while still looking much more natural than most liquid and cream foundations. I've thought a little bit about it, and I think the thing I do enjoy most about this stuff, though, is the beautiful glossy black case with the white interlocking C Chanel logo in the center of it. It's so pretty and looks nice when you pull it out of your bag to look at yourself and touch up. It has nice coverage, and great staying power, and what I think separates this stuff from most other powder foundation is it's ability to be layered without getting too cakey. It looks very natural when buffed into the skin and it keeps me from getting shiny which is a major PLUS. Yes, it's nice, but I honestly don't feel as though it's worth the $55. It's a wonderful product, but I feel like it's not TOO far superior of MAC's Studio Fix Powder Foundation, or many other department store powder foundations, for that matter. I've always thought, though, that you do indeed get what you pay for when you buy makeup, and I'll leave it at that :] So what do you think about Chanel's Double Perfection Powder Foundation? Do you think it's much better than anything else? Or do agree with me in saying it's a lot like the others? What's your favorite powder foundation? Let me know what you think :]

Chanel Rouge Allure in Mythic #69
I just recently started to get back into Chanel makeup. I have to admit I really really wanted to buy a Rouge Allure Lipstick just because of the packaging. You press the gold interlocking C symbol at the top of the case to release the lipstick, and the black case itself is glass, I believe. Needless to say, it is GORGEOUS. Of course I ONLY ever wear nudes, usually light to medium beiges with neutral undertones. And that's exactly what Mythic is :] I love the fact that it's quite moisturizing and light but it still has good pigmentation and wear-time. The formula is smooth and feels nice on the lips but I wish it were just a liiiiiiiiiiiittle bit more opaque. I guess that just leaves room for layering with either a lipliner or a gloss. I like to wear Mythic on it's own for a nice neutral nude lip look, but I particularly like to pair it with Chanel's lipliner in Peche, and Chanel's gloss in Insouciance for a more complex and polished peachy nude lip.
Yeah I know- $35 is super pricey for one lipstick. You can buy a similar lipstick from MAC for $16. You could even buy a lipstick from Revlon similar to Mythic for about $8. But the packaging is beautiful, and it's just fun to have a cute little mechanism like this in your bag. And of course, it's Chanel :] Who doesn't love Chanel!? I think that though it's totally not necessary to own lots of Rouge Allures, it is good to splurge on a few, especially if you're a makeup collector/connoisseur like so many of us are. If you want a cheaper alternative to Chanel's Mythic, check out MAC's lipsticks in Creme d'Nude and High Tea, or if you're looking for a drug-store alternative, I would say that Revlon's Colorburst lipstick in Soft Nude is kinda similar, though a little bit lighter.
Are you into nudes? What's your favorite? Do you like Chanel's Rouge Allure formula? Let me know what you think :]

DSquared's "Nappa" Spine-Heeled Ankle Boots
I first saw these ankle boots when one of my favorite fashion bloggers "Bryanboy" posted a picture on them on Twitter last year... I really like them. They're obviously not practical for everyday wear, because they're quite pricey and I'm sure they wouldn't be the most comfortable shoes to walk in. I love them, though, because they're so unique and you can tell that the twins were very inspired when they created these outrageous heels. The heels on these babies are 6.5 inches, but there's actually a 2.5 inch hidden platform in them, so it'd be like wearing a pair of 4 inch heels, which isn't completely unbearable. I love how they're just a little macabre, yet they're still pretty and super-glam. And there's nothing else out there like them. What do you think about them??? :]
The Ugliest Shoes I've Seen In A While...
Usually, if I see someone wearing some ugly shoes, I won't think another thought about it... I know that people can wear whatever the hell they want... It's a free country and of course not everyone is gonna like something that you particularly like. I've made a few questionable fashion choices in the past... I like risk-takers when it comes to fashion... I get so bored seeing the same thing over and over again so it's nice to see some really edgy studded pumps or some skin-tight liquid latex leggings in the daytime... There are hits and misses, but all that matters is that you have fun and you look good... You can learn from your mistakes a long the way too... BUT THEN I CAME ACROSS THESE HIDEOUSLY DISGUSTING ATROCITIES!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahahahahaha I'm not gonna say too much- the pictures obviously speak for themselves. They're Air Jordan Heels by NIKE. And they are NOT CUTE. Hahahahahaha tell me what you think about them!!!!!!

Ginger Rush Intensely Hydrating Cream by Origins
The "Ginger Rush" Intensely Hydrating Cream is an absolutely AMAZING product that I just recently started loving... Pretty much, it's a gigantic jar full of really thick, really rich body cream that smells absolutely HEAVENLYYYYYYYYY. I went through a MAJOR Origins phase like 2 years ago. One of my really good friends at the time worked there, so of course I would try all of the products out whenever I'd stop by and visit him. I'm a really big fan of their products, and anything that smells like their famous "Ginger Essence" is pretty much amazing. Ginger Rush is probably one of the most amazing moisturizers I've ever used. I love it because it's super moisturizing, but it's not greasy at all. I LOVE THAT!!!! I use body moisturizers more often during the Winter, but I absolutely can't stand when I put some on and it leaves my skin all greasy and slippery. This stuff will make you feel smooth and moisturized and smelling warm and citrus-y!!! The scent is very uplifting and kind of energizing, but it's subtle enough to be worn often. It's a bit pricey at around $40 for like 7 ounces, but the jar lasts a very long time, and the quality of this stuff is just so outstanding that you can't help but overlook the price. Next time your at Origins, slather some on and rub it in. You'll LOVE how it feels :]
Eyebrow Threading!!!!
Eyebrow threading is an ancient method of hair removal which originated in parts of India, the Middle and Far East, and is now gaining popularity in Western countries. I was first introduced to this method of hair removal a long time ago in Little India up in Los Angeles. I totally prefer threading to waxing and tweezing for soooooo many reasons. First of all, it's safe for my skin. Whenever I've gotten my eyebrows waxed in the past, my eyebrow area has always ended up red and irritated afterward. I always make sure that the cosmetologist doesn't have the temperature of the wax too high, so I think I may be allergic to wax. I also hate eyebrow waxing because it's super messy, and I feel like it usually takes off WAYYYY too many of my eyebrow hairs. I like my eyebrows to be clean and tidy, not thin and overly-done. I prefer stronger, more masculine brows. Threading is also a lot more sanitary. I don't know who's been using the wax/wax warmer, I don't know if they double-dipped, if the wax warmer is clean, etc. You also can't really tell if their tweezers have been cleaned... I'm super picky about anything that touches my face, especially around my eye area. I like plucking my eyebrows on my own, but that can be tedious at times. That's why I've really been into threading lately :] It's super easy, safe, and clean, and allows for easy control of what hairs are removed. If you've never heard of eyebrow threading or are curious to see how it works, check it out on YouTube!!! There are lots of videos showing you how it's done, and even how to do it on yourself!! Do any of you prefer eyebrow threading over waxing and plucking as well? Tell me about it :]
My Three Main Pieces of Advice Towards Having Better Skin!!!!
Hey everyone!! Okay, this is a topic I've been thinking about a lot lately and I'm finally sitting down to actually talk about it now. I know these are VERY basic pieces of information, but you'd actually be surprised to know how many people don't already know these things. I'm not copying and pasting information off of the internet, I'm not looking this stuff up on skincare websites, and I'm not repeating information I heard from a YouTube beauty person- These are all just things that I've heard and ended up doing, and fortunately they ended up working for me. I don't claim that doing these things will produce miracles skin-wise, but they'll help if you continue to do them for a long time.
First off, drink lots of water!! I just did a post on here about why drinking lots of water is good for your body, but it also helps keep your skin looking amazing also. Drinking about 8 glasses of water a day will keep your body balanced. It flushes your body of some unnecessary toxins, it keeps you hydrated, and it plumps up your skin's cells, which makes your skin look a lot better. Haven't you noticed that your skin doesn't look good when you don't drink that much water????
My second piece of advice is to make sure to never sleep with makeup on your face. It's a horrible habit to hit the pillow without removing your makeup!!! Your pores need time to breathe, especially when your asleep, because that's when your skin cells re-generate themselves. Think about it- If you wear makeup all day, then all night, then sleep with it on, your skin never really has time to relax and breathe and just be healthy overall. I know whenever I pass out with makeup on, I wake up with gross, nasty oily skin that just feels clogged and unhealthy. And I have raccoon eyes and everything's smudged and runny hahahahaha... Thankfully, I don't tend to break out anymore, but if I do, it will usually be because I didn't wash my face before I went to sleep. It's just so refreshing to go to sleep feeling clean and refreshed lol...
My last piece of advice for you all is to WEAR SUNSCREEEEEEEN!!!!!!!!!! OMG I can't believe HOW MANY people I PERSONALLY KNOW that don't wear sunscreen!!!!!! It's so easy just to rub a little bit of it into your face and arms... It's not some big elaborate process that takes hours to do. I recommend you carry a little bit of sunscreen with you no matter where you go. I like to use makeup and skincare products that also contain SPF (Sun Protection Factor) because when it comes to protecting yourself from the sun, every little bit helps. Exposure to sun (UVA and UVB) rays is the leading cause in premature aging/wrinkles. If you don't like the smell of sunblock, find one that's unscented. If it makes you feel too greasy, find a matte formula sunblock. There are SOOOOOO many ways to put SPF on your skin that you have NO REASON not too. You may not think that it helps, but it really does. Apply it whether you're gonna be in the sun for 2 minutes, or 2 hours. There's no such thing as being TOO CAREFUL.
Okay, I'm done talking about these things. I've noticed that most of you people out in LUUUX-LAND don't really like reading really really long posts. I thought three things would be enough for now, but look at for more. Thanks for reading, commenting, and following if you have!!! Leave a comment telling me about some of your favorite habits for having healthy skin!!! :]

Late-Night Online Shopping & Makeup Porn From NARS!!!
Hey everybody!!! I've been doing some more unnecessary makeup shopping tonight since I got home... I've already put in a few orders hahahaha... I've been looking at swatches and pictures of NARS products because I need more eyeshadows and blushes from them... and I ran across the picture above!!! Lol it got me all excited hahahahaha I just LOVE seeing lots and lots of makeup sprawled out all over a table... I totally see some of my favorite shadows from NARS' Night Collection lined up along the bottom left-hand side of the screen :] I've got lots of NARS' darker, rich, jewel-toned colors, but now I'm trying to pick out some pretty, lighter, more "wearable" neutrals for Spring and Summer. Tell me some of your fave neutrals from NARS<33333

LaToya Jackson: Then and Now
I was watching tv today and I saw LaToya Jackson make like a 10 second appearance... I think she was arguing with someone or something... She was on some show... It might've been Celebrity Apprentice or something... I can't believe how... unnatural she looked. Yeah I know, lots of celebrities get plastic surgery to change their appearances just a bit,and of course the Jackson family has been known to have had it's share of it, but she looked as though she'd had a LOTTTTTTT of work done. I found old pictures of her, and I think she was super pretty. I wonder why she decided to have all of those surgeries done... I'm by no means against plastic surgery- if you have the money and the guts to go under the knife, by all means do it. But of course, the results should be natural, and at the very least, flattering. I could see maybe one or two things, but she looks like a whole new person. She's still really pretty, in my opinion, except for that super pointy nose lol... So, take a look at the before and after pictures and tell me what you think about LaToya Jackson's gradual transformation :]
One Of My Biggest Beauty Pet Peeves: UNBLENDED MAKEUP!!!
Lately, I've been talking A LOT about things that I love. I thought that just for a moment, I thought I'd talk about something beauty-related that I absolutely HATE. And that is UNBLENDED MAKEUP!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HATE IT!!!!!!! I don't like harsh lines at all in makeup- I just think it's SO EASY to take a face brush or an eyeshadow blending brush or a cosmetic sponge or EVEN just a clean finger and BLEND your makeup... It'll help make your makeup look a lot more natural and just overall pleasing to the eye. It removes obvious lines of demarkation and just smoothes everything out. Blending even makes your makeup stay on longer!!! I was just browsing the internet and found a picture that I thought would be appropriate to show you all what I'm talking about lol... Take a look at that face. Wouldn't she be SOOOOO much prettier if her makeup was just blended better???? Lol... Tell me what you think... and let me know what some of YOUR beauty-related pet peeves are!!!!

DRINK MORE WATER!!!!!!
Today I just thought I'd bring up something that's been on my mind a lot lately. It's actually one of my favorite drinks: WATER. It's super refreshing year round, but more importantly, it's something that your body actually needs in order to survive. H20 has COUNTLESS health benefits, including the following:
Transpsorts nutrients and oxygen into cells
Moisturizes the air in lungs
Helps with metabolism
Protects our vital organ
Helps our organs to absorb nutrients better
Regulates body temperature
Detoxifies
Protects and moisturizes our joints
Keeps our skin hydrated and refreshed
ET CETERAAAAAAAAAAA
I've been told many times that the average adult should consume AT LEAST 8 8oz glasses of water a day. I usually drink it chilled, but not ice cold, with a little bit of lemon. Do YOU drink as much water as you should??? :]

NARS Casino: A Beautiful, Healthy Tan in a Compact!!
NARS Casino is probably my favorite bronzing powder!! It's darker than Laguna, so I tend to use it a lot more. I love how NARS bronzers tend to be truly brown-based... they won't leave you looking weird or muddy or worst of all, ORANGE hahahahahaha... Casino is my go to bronzer right now as well- It's gorgeous for applying to the parts of my face that need extra shadowing. It has a subtle golden bronze sparkle, but that doesn't really show up on the skin, so it looks completely natural (if used correctly). Casino really is like having a healthy tan in a compact!! What do you think? :]
NARS Laguna: An Amazing Bronzing Powder
NARS Laguna Bronzer has been a staple in my makeup collection for years!! I love using this bronzing powder as an all over bronzer just to warm up the places on my face that the sun would naturall hit. It also makes a great contouring powder when I'm paler or don't want to look toooooooo dramatic and overly contoured. Sometimes I'll even use this as an eyeshadow just all over this lids :] It's a gorgeous medium bronzey brown- it's not too light or too dark, not too orange or too yellow. There's subtle shimmer in it that shows up in the pan, but I really don't see it on my face once it's on, so it's super-natural looking :] Do you use Laguna?? Let me know what you think about it!!
Dreamer by Versace: What Dreams Are Made Of...
Now's the time where I introduce what I think just may be my absolute favorite scent of all time!!! It's Dreamer by Versace. I've been through very many bottles of this stuff, and will always have one in my collection. It's SUCH a sexy scent. Seriously, it's sexual attraction in a bottle!!! It's pretty light for a men's fragrance, with notes of juniper, artemisia, tarragon, mugwort, linen seed flowers, tobacco, amber, lily, and iris. Of course, it can be used as a uni-sex fragrance- It makes a really nice "boyfriend" fragrance. It's kind of sweet, and it's surprisingly warm and refreshing at the same time. I just LOVE to spray Dreamer all over everything that can hold fragrance- all over blankets, pillows, all over clothes, up into the air, on people I love, etc!! Hahahahaha yes, it smells that good. It reminds me a lot of nighttime- it's sensual and seductive and of course, very unique. Whenever I put this stuff on, I think to myself "This is what every man should smell like..." Lol. It was the last fragrance Gianni Versace made before he was murdered in 1996. Wow, I've been wearing this for a long time! Hahahaha. I'm even obsessed with the bottle. It's very elegant and chic, with Versace's ever-present Medusa head on the front of it. The lid doesn't actually come off the bottle- you just press down on it to spray the cologne. I love this fragrance DEARLY- It will forever hold a very dear place in my heart. I can't say enough how much I love this stuff hahahaha... but I WIL SAY: If I had to use JUST ONE fragrance for the rest of my life, without a doubt, Dreamer would be it :] You really just have to smell intriguing scent for yourself<33333
I Just ADORE J'Adore By Dior!!!
J'Adore is a very elegant, sensual fragrance. I remember why I bought this stuff... It was a very long time ago, I was just a kid. And I saw the commercial for this stuff... The model in it was so gorgeous, and she was bathing in like... liquid gold. And she was covered in gold paint and wearing a gold dress with lots of gold jewelry. Hahahaha I loved it!!! When I saw this stuff in the actual store, I bought it just because I loved the commerical so much!! I loved it- Of course it smelled absolutely amazing, being Dior. It has notes of Mandarin, Champaca Flowers, Ivy, African Orchid, Rose, Violet, Damascus Plum, Amaranth Wood, Blackberry Musk.
It's sexy, very floral, and kinda fruity. I miss this stuff, I haven't had a bottle in a while. I use my mom's sometimes, but I guess it's to pick up another bottle for my collection!!! So any of you out there absolutely adore J'Adore!??!? <333333

Drink Green Tea!!! It's Good For You!!!
Okay, so we've all heard a lot about how Green Tea is beneficial for us, but we haven't really payed too much attention to it, am I right? Hahahaha I drink it sometimes, like when I'm at Chinese restaurants, or when I'm really cold. And I really like Asian iced green tea drinks. Did you know that green tea has been used as a medicine in China for at least 4,000 years? There have been scientific studies that have proven that green tea reduces the risk of certain types of cancer, heart disease, impaired immunity, and high cholesterol levels. Green tea also contains lots of healthy anti-oxidents which are very good for skin health!! So, next time you're at a Chinese restaurant or are craving some hot tea, choose Green Tea!!
Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel
Coco Mademoiselle is an absolutely luxurious and elegrant fragrance that was release by Chanel back in 2001. My aunt bought me a bottle of this stuff as a present a few years ago, and I really like it :] There's a lot going on with this beautiful perfume, with notes of sicilian oranges, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian grapefruit. It's floral heart is created with pure rose extract and pure jasmine extract, along with a fruity touch of litchi, while its base notes carry a combination of Indonesian patchouli, Haitian vetiver, Bourbon vanilla ad white musk. Yeah, there are MANY layers in Coco Mademoiselle. I don't wear it often- I spritz it on sometimes when I need to feel a little more sophisticated hahahaha... Like when I'm going out to dinner or something. Chanel really does make a lot of gorgeous scents that come in the most beautiful bottles!!! So, are you a fan of Coco Mademoiselle!?!? Tell me if you are<3333333
Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana
Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana is a fragrance that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Years ago, probably in like 2006 or 2007, me and my friend were at a store just buying random makeup and skincare products, and I saw Light Blue sitting on the shelf. I tried it on and it smelled good, but it strike me as something SO amazing that I had to buy it then and there. My friend, however, thought it smelled amazing, and bought a big ole bottle of it as a random present for me :] I wore Light Blue HEAVILY that whole Summer, but then I wore it just randomly after Summer was over, because it's not really a Fall-Winter kinda perfume. So now, whenever I wear this stuff, I instantly think about that Summer. Lol funny how a scent can conjure up so many memories. It's a gorgeous scent, with notes of Sicilian Citron, Bluebell, Granny Smith Apple, Jasmine Sambac, Bamboo, White Rose, Cedarwood, Amber, Musk. I just love how fresh and clean this stuff smells. It's not overwhelming at all, and it's actually kind of up-lifting if you know what I mean. I love this stuff :] Do you? Do you ever associate memories with fragrances?
Betsey Johnson Perfume
I remember when I bought Betsey Johnson's premiere fragrance- I was at the Loehmann's not too far from my house, and I just saw the bright and eye-catching box sitting on a table amongst a bunch of other fragrances. I'd seen it before at Nordstrom, but I never paid it very much attention. I loved the bottle, it was so cute- kind of a neo-art-deco perfume flacon with a large hot pink peacockish type of top. Not knowing how it smelled, I bought it. I just knew it would smell absolutely amazing though, because I love anything Betsey comes up with :] I sprayed it right after I bought it and instantly fell in love!! It's a juicy floriental fragrance with notes of pear, tangerine, grapefruit and blackcurrant and feminine notes like vanilla, amber and musk. Whenever I wear it, people ask me what it is. Whenever friends see it sitting in my perfume collection, they immediately grab for it because the bottle is so amazing. I'm so glad I blindly purchased this perfume<33333 I DEFINITELY need to buy another bottle of it :] Don't you just LOVE Betsey Johnson's perfume? Tell me about it!!
Chance by Chanel
Chanel by Chanel has been one of my off again on again favorite perfumes for years- I'm surprised at how long this stuff has been around!!! Lol time flies when you're smellin good :] Okay seriously, I love how sophisticated and refined this fragrance is. A lot of people called it feminine and flirty... I guess it is, but I just love how this stuff makes you feel when you're wearing it. It's such a rich and refreshing perfume, but it's not in any way overwhelming. It's a fruity floral- It's notes are white musk, hyacinth and citron, pink pepper, jasmine, fresh vetiver, orris absolute and amber patchouli. Chance is very elegant, and you're guaranteed to get lots of complements when you wear it :] Does anyone else love Chance?? <333
